I just got a tattoo on my foot and I am walking around work with only one shoe on. It is raining outside too. Can I wear socks? Should I tape a paper towel over it before I put the socks on?
What is the best soap to rinse my tattoo with?
I wish I could send ppl mesasges that write me answers... For one thing, I need to go outside for work, and Secondly.. rain will not wash a tattoo away, maybe you should only answer questions you know the answer to

The answers to your questions are very simple. You can wear socks……just make sure they are white only. If they are terrycloth (like most) it would be a good idea to turn it inside out first. You don’t need to cover it. Your tattoo will seep a little…….it’s normal as it’s healing so DO NOT just pull the sock off, cause it’ll probably be stuck. Run it under water to get it really wet then it will come right off.
The best soap to use with any piercing or tattoo is Dial Anti-bacterial soap. For a fresh tattoo, don’t let the water hit it directly……..let it run down your leg onto your tat. Make sure you rinse the soap off well and blot dry with a paper towel…….NOT your bath towel. Good luck to ya!
you can wear socks! it wont mess anything up unless you got it like a minute ago.
me personally i would tape a papertowl to my foot first thats what i did. and second the best sop to use is dial gold bar sop anti bacterial. i have used it on every one of them and they turn out great. also ink fixx works great on the tattoo. i dont know what kind of ointment you have but if you have money id get ink fixx
you can, just make sure to rub that lotion crap that they give you on it…it will probably ruin your sock, though.
anitbacterial soap non scented!!!! no scent!!!! and use jergens ultra healing on it…it will speed up recovery time! i swear by it!!! as for the sock or covering it….i wouldnt but if you absolutely have to….just do it for a minute.
well what i would do is that i would better keep inside than outside because if u had just gotten ur tattoo why would u want it to wash away in the rain? not a very smart reason.
