Best ways to get to U.S. Cellular Field?

I'm going to be going to a White Sox game in August. As far as getting to the ball park is concerned, what would be the best ways to get there? I have a couple of ideas:

1) Drive there. I'd just get on the Eisenhower and then make my way to the Dan Ryan so I can get to 35th street. However, I hear the parking is expensive.

2) Take the L there. I considered taking the blue line from Rosemont to State/Lake and then the green line to 35th/Bronzeville/IIT. My concern here is that I'd be walking through rough areas.

Any other suggestions? Or are one of my ideas the best?

  1. option 2
there is a short walk from train to park at 35th but your bee there with 100′s of others walking the same way

  2. If it’s a day game, your #2 option will work. There will be many fans filing out of the train onto 35th St. walking west, and the walk is less than two blocks.

If you don’t feel comfortable with the train option, parking is $23.00 in the three main lots. You might get cheaper driving around for a private lot, but they’re not secure and will still be around $20.

    Goooooo Sox !
