Are snow boots OK for walking?

I have some good quality snow boots (not skii boots) and am goin on a simple walk around a lake. Its probably going to be a bit rocky and going through woods and things... so would some boots which have a similar sole to a walking boot but with waterproof sweade for the main shoe do?
Thanks!

  1. If they are good quality and fit well, they should be fine. I’d mainly be concerned with the tread. If it doesn’t have much of one, I couldn’t recommend them. But, in my opinion, snow boots should have a good tread anyway. Traction is important in the snow.
