Hi Guys, cant sleep.......
I'm hoping to go to the Lake District next year and I wanted to know what the best places to visit are, I don't like places that are really crowded, but I like places were you can have long peaceful walks. Any suggestions?
Cheers

Grassmere is a great little village not far from windemere (although windemere gets quite full and busy)
Grassmere is famous for having the grave of poet William Wordsworth in the village cemetary, also it is were local gingerbread is made and there cute little traditional shops that make homemade gingerbread (which is very nice
)
It is a quiet village and has a great landscape which is great for walking.
